Day 34 - Relaxing Saturday

I finished up my Political Science homework today and worked on my PowerPoint project. We decided to take a break and ride our bikes to the school. Timmy is starting to get more used to riding his bike, but he forgets that he needs to steer and actually look where he is going. We had fun and I can tell that I have much more energy.

Finishing up my homework and ready to get to sleep.

Day 33 - Long Day

Well... It was a quick weigh and go at Jenny this morning. I was up .4 pounds. I think it was due to the anti-inflamatory meds that I just started back on. No problem, I will pick it back up and keep going. I know I am on the right track. The challenge is going great and I am feeling good about this week.

It was a long day at the office, but a productive one. I need to get some homework done soon because I do not want to wait until the last minute again.

Day 32 - Doh! Oops...

I totally blew it today. I had to take Timmy to the doctor and we took his homework to do while we were waiting. Got done with the doctor and went to the pharmacy to get what we needed and when we were checking out, I left his homework folder on the counter and walked out.

I was in a panic because it is due tomorrow and I was already home... Did someone find it, throw it away... UGH... I had to find that folder or life as I knew it was going to be over. I called Mike to let him know what i had done and he said why worry, he is in Kindergarten and it was a simple little paper folder with a few photo copies in it. I called the medical office and got in touch with Lost and Found and they had it. Whew!!!

But now... do I really want to drive all the way out there to get it?? I guess I will know more after dropping Timothy off tomorrow and i have to face his teacher and tell her I lost his folder. (Maybe I should get flowers... lol)

I will let you know how it goes. :) ~~~ Trina

Day 31 - Yippee, I am home!

I did well on the challenge being gone for 3 days. I did not eat after 8pm, no fast food, no soda, I journaled, read spiritual text, drank my water, praised someone and had no chips or swe--------- UGH... I blew the sweets today. My boss decided that he needed to bring in the largest, moistest, best smelling peanut butter, chocolate chip cookies. I just could not resist. i ate one after lunch and one right before I got in the car to drive home.

I guess it could have been worse. I could have given up for the day and stopped into a fast food place for dinner. Instead, I ate more Jenny on the way home and did not need to stop. Yea and boo me. :)

Really tired from the drive. Back tomorrow.

Day 30 - Exhausted

After working all day on a project in the Campbell office, I got back to my hotel room tonight and just wanted to crash, but this sill movie was on. At first I kept turning the channel to find something else to watch, but eventually gravitated back to the same movie. It was called "Lars and the Real Girl" and I still am not sure how I made it through the whole movie, but I did. I was kind of interesting, sad, funny and horrifying all in one...

It is still raining here and I think I am now ready to crawl into bed and get to sleep.

Day 29 - Wet, Wet, Everywhere.

I was hoping that once I arrived in Campbell that the weather would be better, but no!! It is raining harder here than it was at home. Oh well... The drive last night was a good one. I had on K-Love and sang my heart out all the way here. I am glad I brought all my Jenny food so I can try and stay on track.

The challenge is going well, I can tell that the cravings for soda and fast food are still diminishing. I am also noticing that I am not wanting food after 8pm. Good, maybe these new habits are going to help me build that healthy lifestyle.

I decided to go up to Pacifica to visit Mike's Aunt Connie and Uncle Bill. Billy and Shelby came over to visit too. I enjoyed the visit and have met my match in talkers. Whoo Hoo Aunt Connie. :) It was great getting to know them all better.

More tomorrow. Nightie Night... ~~Trina

Day 28 - Special Moments

Ok, I am catching up on entering my postings online. I had several busy days and had to resort to paper journaling for several days so I will start with Sunday.

There is something special about Grandparents. We were blessed today with a meal that was prepared by Mike's Grams. She wanted to cook a good Greek dish for the family, so she cooked a lamb stew. We picked Grams up to take her to Folsom and had to make sure and talk to Timothy prior to Grams getting into the car.

You see, Timmy has had a fascination with old people and wanting them to tell him when they were planning on going to Heaven. I get horrified every time I know we are picking her up because I can imagine that is the last topic she wants to discuss with a 5 year old. So I made sure he knew there would be a nap waiting for him at Grammy's if he decided to discuss dying, Heaven, being old, etc. Upon entering the car, the first words out of his mouth were, "Grams, I need to ask you a question". I turned my head back quickly to shoot him the DO-IT-AND-DIE look. He took the high road and asked, "How is your day?"

Whew! Dodged that one... lol. The meal was wonderful and the company exceptional. I always love getting together with family and spending some quality time with each other. As we were loading back into the car, I reminded Timothy about the forbidden topics and he was okay with that. In the car, Timothy decided to ask Grams if she had ever played a Nintendo DS before. Of course she said no, so Timmy took this opportunity to give Grams the full blown DS tutorial.

It was the cutest thing to see Grams getting a lesson in how to play a hand held video game from a 5 year old. He was a great teacher and very patient with Grams. Once he felt she was familiar enough with the game (enough to at least move Mario and jump, he struck a deal with her that when he died it would be her turn and vice versa. This went on until we were almost to Grams' stop when Timothy let one slip out. He said, "Whew, I sure am glad that I am not old and unable to learn to play this game." I made him apologize for being rude and Grams was laughing. I told her she could now brag to all her friends that she knows how to play Nintendo DS.

Now I just need to get Timothy to understand that it is rude to tell people they are old. I guess i better finish my homework so I can drive to San Jose tonight.
